DESIGNER/DEVELOPER (Graphic Designer II) Description: The California State University, Office of the Chancellor, is seeking to a pool of parttime freelancer Web Designers/Developers to help create and construct innovative electronic communications that promote and reinforce the California State University brand identity. Duties: Under general supervision of the Web Manager, the Designers/Developers will: * Create, design and build new web pages and web applications. * Utilize existing web standards and visual identity guidelines. * Work closely with Web Manager to ensure design and usability objectives are met. * Keep abreast of new web design practices, technologies and trends and make recommendation to enhance/improve site design. * Develop interfaces with new and existing databases and legacy systems. * Analyze clientserver and tiered architectures to optimize Internet design and development. * Work with current IT staff to implement projects into existing web infrastructure.
