NU-PHOUND NATION is the name of a rhythm section that forms the backbone of Parliament-Funkadelic. The  band  was  formed   as a  creative outlet for the West Coast-   based members   of  the  frequently  touring   mega-funk  orchestra  led by maestro   George  Clinton.  This is not a mutiny on   the Mothership. When George Clinton calls, the tours and recording are their top priority. In those idle moments in  between,  the  musicians  saw a need for another creative outlet; though on a much smaller scale.    The trio   consists of:   drummer,  Franky “Kash” Waddy,  six-string bassist  Lige Curry   and  guitarist   Dewayne “Blackbyrd” McKnight.   All are  well- seasoned veterans of the PFunk thang and are all based in southern  cali.
